Helix is an ophthalmology EMR built by doctors and designed from the examiner's side of the slit lamp. The Mirror Cockpit keeps OD and OS side by side from refraction to theatre.
The eye exam, laid out the way you examine
OD left, OS right, always
The right eye sits on the left and the left eye on the right, as you see them from the slit lamp, marked by position, colour and glyph. Exception cards start empty and read “Not recorded”, so nothing is pre-filled as normal.
Refraction, pressure and trends
Refraction snaps to 0.25 D with spherical equivalent calculated for you. Copy the trial to the final Rx and print glasses or a contact-lens prescription from the Smart Dock. IOP is logged with method and time (applanation, Tono-Pen, iCare or air-puff) and trended across visits.
Biometry, fields, OCT, lasers and injections
Record biometry and IOL planning, visual field indices and OCT RNFL by quadrant. Log lasers per eye (SLT, YAG, PI, PRP, focal and CPC) and in-office procedures such as intravitreal injections, chalazion I&C and punctal plugs.
From dilation to the operating list
The Dilate button starts a dilation round that shows on the admissions board. The Surgery Focus Deck covers cataract, trabeculectomy, glaucoma valves, vitreoretinal, keratoplasty, refractive and squint surgery, with implant tracking and pre- and post-op checklists.
An eye clinic visit, start to finish
One continuous record threads the whole visit — every step writes to the same chart and ledger, so nothing is re-keyed or reconciled.
